Fuse technologies was founded by David Redmond and Neel Patel in 2014. David and Neel have over 25 years combined experience in technology, telephony and communications. The pair met in 2007 where they worked together until successful exit in 2012. Post exit David and Neel took some time out to weigh up their next move before deciding to launch fuse technologies.
The motivation to launch fuse came primarily from requests from previous clients and vendor partners to build a unified communications practise who could advise and provide telephony and unified communications tools, but also with the in-house skills and capabilities to develop collaborative apps and API’s.
As users we are all comfortable with joining a Cisco Webex conference call on an iPad or making a video call from WhatsApp on a mobile, but how does this work and which unified communications providers has the skills to make it work? That’s where fuse comes in! Communication is no longer just voice calls, collaboration is fully integrated across multiple devices, multiple formats (voice, video, sms, IM, chat pop ups etc). Communication is critical for us as consumers and for business.
Our vision was therefore to provide clients with two different ways to engage:
Request for advice, consulting, design, implementation or support for a new business phone system/unified communications system, a voice trading system or a voice recording compliant solution.
Advice, consulting, design, implementation or support on how best to make use of unified collaboration features by using collaboration API’s or Apps. For example, can we build an app or integrate a CRM API that bolts into our client’s voice trading platform that provides real time data to traders.
